0 X-PLORE 1.35 - THE IMAGE PREVIEW VERSION

Lonely-Cat-Games team recently released a new version (1.35) of X-plore (For your info X-plore is the best file manager application for Symbian and Windows smartphones, read here to know more about X-plore). The new version has been nicknamed as “Image Preview”. As the name suggests, a new image preview feature has been added (Like thumbnails in Windows) – while browsing through files whenever an Image file is highlighted, a small thumbnail preview pops-up to give you an idea which image is this. It is helpful when you want to search an image out of many; no need to open all images one by one, just slowly browse through them and see their thumbnails. This version can be downloaded from HERE or if you already have any version of X-plore installed then it can be updated via GPRS/EDGE (Run X-plore and Go to Menu/Tools/Program update and follow the instructions).
All said and done but seriously, does this feature addition warrant a new version? I don’t think so. In fact it would have been a lot better if lonely cat games team had added the much needed feature of showing “Hidden” System folders in Symbian S60 3rd & later edition phones – May be in the next version. Are X-plore guys reading??

0 GOOGLE BLOCKS ADSENSE ADS ON OPERA MINI PROXY SERVER IP

This morning I noticed that there were no Adsense ads when I opened my blog on Opera Mini. Horrified that Google might have banned my Adsense account, I checked other sites that had Adsense ads but the result remained same (No Adsense ads were appearing at any site in Opera Mini). Then I checked the blog at desktop and thank God the ads were there at their usual place. I also checked at another mobile browser Bolt and the Ads were appearing as usual.
It looks to me that Google has blocked Adsense ads to appear on pages rendered by Opera Mini’s proxy server (Opera Mini uses a proxy server based either in Santa Clara, California or Oslo, Norway to render the web pages optimized for mobile viewing). I searched Google to confirm this but could not find anything significant at the topic. What is the reason behind this, Google knows better. I wonder if someone else also noticed this? Please let me know if you did…...

0 WHY THERE IS NO NOKIA 4400, N74 OR N94?

Can you name a Nokia mobile phone having digit ‘4’ in its model number? OK hold on, don’t overstrain your gray cells, there are very few of them produced by Nokia. The question arise why there is no Nokia 4400, N74, N84, N94 etc? Is this just a damn coincidence or something deliberate? The answer is a bit weird and funny. Actually it is a superstition in some Asian countries (China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea etc) to avoid number 4 as the words for it sound quite similar to the word for death. So the 4th floor, table, room no. etc are usually avoided in these countries. It is termed as “Tetraphobia”. To respect their customs and culture Nokia also follows this superstition as a gesture of “Politeness” (Or maybe because Nokia has the largest customer base in these countries).

Now another question is: Do other Mobile phone makers (Samsung, LG, Motorola etc) also follow this superstition? Any answer???
